Warhammer PC Game: The Basics of Roleplaying

Despite the fact that the Warhammer PC game is considered to be Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game, there is actually very little roleplay going on. In fact, a lot of gamers just tend to play the game as a game, and not truly immerse themselves in the universe of Warhammer.
There are certain servers that encourage roleplay and tend to give players a deeper experience when it comes to playing Warhammer. Roleplaying adds a whole new dimension to the Warhammer PC game. In roleplaying, every aspect that adds to the realism of the experience is considered.
It all begins with character creation. In typical WAR servers, all you have to do is pick a character that works for you. However, creating a roleplay character requires you to know a little bit about the character’s history. Why, for example, did that character choose a specific class or archetype to train as? You need a back story in order to explain your origins.
Roleplaying in the Warhammer PC game is all about creating your own epic from scratch. Every action has an effect on your story and most of what you do needs to have a rationale. In typical WAR servers, you mainly kill mobs just to level up, but in roleplay servers, you need to have a reason.
Another basic of roleplaying is learning how to speak “in-character”. You don’t just say “I’m gonna pwn u, noob, roflmao” like in typical servers, you need to use your imagination and build a reason, so you typically say “Stand aside, knave, or feel the wrath of my blade”, or something to that effect. This typically adds to your story.
Remember that roleplay is more fun if you do it with groups. After all, you’ll need to show other people just how creative you can be and nothing feeds the imagination better than a group.
Another essential is that your character must continue to evolve. You need to make sure that your character does not stay one-dimensional.
A great tip to keep your character interesting is to let your imagination flow freely and let the character itself dictate the adventures. You’ll be surprised at what your unconscious can create. The Warhammer PC game provides a background, but you need to create your own epic.
